Allergy Treatment

What Is SAAT?

Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment

A single needle. One allergen at a time. The longest-lasting allergy relief available through acupuncture or conventional care.

Allergies do more than make you uncomfortable. They disrupt sleep, scatter your concentration, and quietly reshape your life around what you have to avoid — certain foods, high-pollen days, particular places.

Conventional allergy treatment often falls short. Most options are demanding, carry real risks, and offer limited odds of lasting relief. Acupuncture and herbal medicine can ease allergy symptoms — sometimes significantly — but the effect is usually temporary.

SAAT is different.

How SAAT works

SAAT (Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment) is a focused technique introduced about 15 years ago. Among both acupuncture and conventional approaches, it offers the longest-lasting relief from allergy symptoms.

The method is precise: a single, tiny needle is placed at one specific point on the ear to interrupt the body’s allergic response to one specific allergen.

SAAT can address a wide range of allergies — environmental triggers, foods, medications, and toxins. It is also used for more complex conditions, including Alpha-Gal syndrome and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS).

The Treatment, In Three Sessions
Session 01

Consultation &
Safety Testing

Health history, plus metal & adhesive sensitivity testing — before anything begins.

Session 02

Treatment

A 3 mm needle is placed at the precise point for your allergen — up to five in one visit.

Session 03

Removal & Retest

The needles come out and your treated allergies are retested to check your response.

What to expect at each step

Session 1 — Consultation & Safety Testing

The first step is making sure the treatment is safe for you.

  • After booking, you’ll receive an intake form to complete at least 24 hours before your visit. Send any allergy testing results you have — it helps make the most of your first appointment.
  • This is your chance to ask anything about the procedure.
  • Muscle testing for metal and adhesive allergies is performed. Many people don’t realize they react to these — and because the needle stays in the ear for three to four weeks, it’s essential that nothing used in the procedure triggers a reaction.
  • If you test positive for a metal or adhesive sensitivity, you’ll be given homeopathic-like remedies at an additional cost to take for at least four weeks before treatment.
  • You choose which allergies to address first.

Session 2 — Treatment

This is when the needle is placed.

  • Don’t wash your hair or clean your ears right before this appointment — do that 12–24 hours beforehand.
  • The exact point for your specific allergen is found by locating the most electrically conductive spot in your ear, using a specialized meter.
  • The needle is sealed in place with surgical glue and a small piece of medical tape. It stays in for three to four weeks.
  • Up to five allergens can be treated in a single visit.

The needle is extraordinarily small — about 3 mm long and thinner than a strand of hair. Most people are surprised by how little they feel.

Session 3 — Removal & Retest

The needles are removed and your treated allergies retested to check your response. Ideally, you’ll return to the office for this step.

Before You Book

If you’ve been diagnosed with Lyme disease and plan to pursue conventional antibiotic treatment, or if you have major surgery scheduled, complete those first. High doses of antibiotics, or significant physical or emotional trauma, can potentially reverse the effects of SAAT.
