Approach
Structure, palpation,
and classical formulas
My work brings together two ways of reading the same body: a structural understanding shaped by physical therapy, and a classical diagnostic framework shaped by Chinese and Japanese medicine. These aren’t separate evaluations — they’re different layers of the same clinical picture.
Acupuncture, guided by palpation
My acupuncture isn’t a standard set of points applied to everyone with the same complaint — there’s no fixed “low back pain protocol.” I practice Neoclassical acupuncture, a palpation-based style where treatment is driven by what I find in your body — tension, tenderness, tissue quality, restriction — and by what it needs that day. Some sessions call for a single needle. Others call for more. It depends on your body’s story, not a recipe.

Classical formulas
A formula isn’t chosen because a symptom has a name. It’s matched to a presentation — a recognizable pattern of signs, constitution, and reactivity. Two people with the same insomnia, reflux, or back pain may need completely different formulas: one cold and depleted, another tense, overheated, and reactive.

Allergies, sensitivities, and complex immune cases
When a case involves allergies, food reactions, Alpha-Gal, or MCAS-type reactivity, I may combine classical herbal medicine with SAAT — an ear-based allergy treatment developed by Dr. Nader Soliman. This lets me work from more than one angle: the specific sensitivity, the immune reactivity, and the underlying constitutional terrain.
How I read the body
Structural
Physical therapy
- movement & compensation
- tension and guarding
- breath mechanics
- how one region affects another
Classical
Jingfang & Kampo
- abdominal palpation
- pulse & tongue
- constitution & reactivity
- how symptoms behave over time

What I do not do
My work isn’t based on vague energetic language — no chakras, auras, or “negative energy.” But I also don’t position this medicine against Western medicine. Surgery, imaging, antibiotics, and emergency care all have their place. The question isn’t which system is better. It’s which tool fits the problem.
